CARE + MAINTENANCE
It’s vital to always follow the specific product and material instructions, and when cleaning opt for mild cleaning agent. For colour preservation, try to shield products from direct sunlight whenever possible. It’s important to keep products at a safe distance from heat sources and protect surfaces from the effects of heat, humidity, and strongly coloured items.
Items designed for indoor use should not be exposed to outdoor conditions. For products made from natural materials, expect unique colour and surface variations. To ensure the longevity of your products, periodically tighten assembly screws if joints become loose.

• POWDER COATED STEEL
Furniture with a powder coated surface is wiped with a damp cloth soaked in warm water or a mild detergent. Wipe the surface with a dry cloth after to avoid streaks and limescale stains. Do not use solvents, sharp objects or abrasive cleaners on powder coated surfaces
• GLASS
Use clean water or glass cleaner for normal cleaning of the surface. Subsequently, polish the glass dry with a microfiber cloth to avoid limescale stains and streaks on the surface. Do not use abrasive, corrosive, acidic or alkaline cleaners as they may damage the glass surface and cause scratches. It is not recommended to use sharp tools for cleaning as this can also cause damage and deep scratches in the glass surface.
• BAMBOO TABLE TOPS
General daily cleaning is done with a soft cloth soaked in warm water. Avoid using detergents or chemicals, never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or polish on stained bamboo.
• VENEER SEAT + BACKRESTS
General daily cleaning is done with a soft cloth soaked in warm water. Avoid using detergents or chemicals. Despite the veneer on the individual product being cut from the same trunk, there may be colour variations in the individual veneered panel. Minor knots, marked veins and colour variations are a part of the wood’s natural appearance. Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or polish on furniture with veneer.
• RICHLITE TABLE TOPS
Like all materials, Richlite does scratch and will wear and mark with use. Its patination is often the main reason why people choose to use Richlite. Richlite is non-porous and antimicrobial and can be cleaned with warm water and sponge day to day, and mild soap or non abrasive cleaners can be used if needed. Bleach and abrasive cleansing powders should not be used on Richlite.
Richlite will last for a very long time and does not need to be refinished, but can be spot repaired or refinished by a fabricator if desired. Richlite Care + Maintain is an easy to use polish that can be applied lightly to enhance the finish of the material periodically to freshen up the surface.
• SMILE PLASTICS TABLE TOPS
Smile Plastics sheets require little maintenance.Surface dirt can easily be removed using a mild detergent and warm water, but the material is relatively soft so abrasive cleaners should be used with caution. The panels are sensitive to organic solvents, especially nail varnish remover, paint stripper, etc. and some cleaning detergents like industrial catering spray.
Smile Plastics sheets must not be exposed to excessive heat as this will melt and eventually burn the material. They will withstand hot water, but prolonged application of boiling water will soften the sheet and cause it to lose rigidity.
• FABRIC
Avoid leaving upholstered furniture in direct sunlight or near heat emitting sources such as an open fire or radiators. Do not use solvents as they may dissolve the underlying upholstery material. Do not use undiluted detergents, bleach, ammonia or soap, which are intended for hard surfaces, on upholstery fabrics.
